The fragrant flower of spring

Since 1982, the production of peonies has developed in the Marchais establishments to reach today more than 30ha of plantation.

The peony is a plant with tuberous roots often described in the West as the fragrant flower of spring, queen of Mother’s Day.

A multitude of nuances

The peony flower comes in a multitude of shades, around four main colors, namely white, pink, red and Coral peony.

The different varieties of the business are La Sarah Bernhardt, Mother Choices, Jules Elie, Festiva Maxima, Alex Fleming, Duchesse de Nemours, Angel Cheeks and Coral.

Good cultural practices

Marchais establishments produce Peonies using good farming practices and respecting the environment.

The company is certified “Plante Bleue”, Fleurs de France label and HVE (High Environmental Value).

The harvest

The peonies are harvested from the beginning of May to mid June, after being disbudded a few weeks previously.

The peonies are then stored in the refrigerator before being packaged and calibrated by 10 stems or in bouquets of 3 to 7 stems with covers and preservative sachets.

The conditioning

Packaging is done in a seal/cardboard (aqua) or dry for export.

All packaging is carried out on a grader or on a packaging belt.

The manufacturing is carried out in the image of the brand, with labels, bar codes and PVC.
